Teacher of English
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic teacher of English to join our English Department. This is a permanent full-time position to start at the beginning of Term 1, 2025.
We are looking for someone who will assist our young men to succeed in the world through high-quality, deliberate, and purposeful teaching with a focus on strong and positive relationships.

Executive Assistant to the Headmaster

CBHS are looking for a dedicated Executive Assistant to provide support to the Headmaster. A little more about the role:
- Create an open, collaborative and supportive working relationship with the Headmaster, Senior Leadership Team, staff, students
- and key stake holders
- Provide high level administrative support to the Headmaster including assistance with the preparation of board reports, HR and strategic planning
- Provide the first point of contact for the media
- Prepare school communications and promotions, including social media
- Assist with Health, Safety and Wellbeing coordination and documentation
A little more about you:
- Previous experience in an EA role within a fast-paced environment sector knowledge is not essential
- Professional style and strong relationship builder
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with a genuine care for the students
- Proven strong computer and technology skills including the Microsoft Suite
- Calm and organised with a curious, innovative approach to your work
- Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously with initiative
- Emotionally intelligent, strategic problem solver who can both support and challenge when required
- Ability to be discrete and professional with sensitive and confidential information

Technician
We require a part time technician to support our teaching team in the technology department at Christchurch Boys’ High School for 14 hours per week.
This would ideally suit a retired tradesperson with a background in engineering. Being familiar with computers and possibly CNC machines, are a definite advantage.
Hours of work may be negotiated to suit the applicant.
Responsibilities would involve:
- Maintenance of department tools, equipment and fixtures.
- Performing and recording of regular Health & Safety checks & settings.
- Purchasing of consumables as directed by teaching staff.
- Preparation of materials as directed by teaching staff.
- Minor “one off” jobs & alterations (storage etc)
The applicant would be required to be police vetted to work with children and some basic computer literacy would be beneficial.
Teacher of Drama
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic teacher of Drama to join our School.
This is a permanent full-time position to start at the beginning of Term 1, 2025. We are looking for someone who will assist our young men to succeed in the world through high-quality, deliberate, and purposeful teaching with a focus on strong and positive relationships.
Alongside the teaching of Drama classes the successful applicant would also initially need to teach in other subject areas. Please state your supporting subjects in your application (preference in English and/or Social Sciences).

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic teacher of Social Studies to join our Social Sciences Department.
This is a maternity LTR full-time position to start at the beginning of Term 1, 2025.
We are looking for someone who will assist our young men to succeed in the world through high-quality, deliberate, and purposeful teaching with a focus on strong and positive relationships. We seek an applicant potentially also able to teach Classics or History or Geography to senior levels. Please state senior subject specialisation.

Teacher of Technology
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic part-time teacher of Technology to join our Technology Department. This is a fixed-term/part-time position to start at the beginning of Term 1 and for the 2025 school year.
We are looking for someone who will assist our young men to succeed in the world through high-quality, deliberate, and purposeful teaching with a focus on strong and positive relationships. We seek an applicant with experience in woodwork and other durable materials technology teaching, and the School would consider applicants with Limited Authority to Teach.

Relief Teacher/s
Christchurch Boys’ High School is looking to add to its pool of relief teachers with the ability to teach mathematics and sciences preferable but not essential. These are casual roles, however, for the right candidate the school will consider a full time, fixed term position.
