Rowing Club Annual Prizegiving

The CBHS Rowing club held their annual prize giving this past weekend. The following boys received awards:

John Hunter Trophy for Senior Oarsman - Scott Shackleton

S.H Francis Cup for Junior Oarsman - Fred Calder

Simon Brigg Trophy for most promising Coxswain - Caleb Fitzsimmons

Margaret Forbes Cup for Captain of Rowing - Henry Woelders

Caddick Award for Contributions to CBHS Rowing - Logan Keys (CBHS coach)

The following boys were also awarded their Caps for rowing:

Canterbury Rowing Association Awards – CBHS Recognition

At the recent Canterbury Rowing Association Awards the CBHS Rowing team received recognition for their efforts over the 2019/2020 season. Scott Shackleton received for the second year running the Cheltenham Trophy for the overall Junior Male Rower of the Year from Canterbury.

The CBHS Rowing Captain Henry Woelders then accepted the Overall Achievement of the Year Award on behalf of the entire Rowing Squad. This award is is recognition for breaking the Concept2, Inc. (Concept2 NZ Ltd) World Record for a continuous ERG, which was covered by 1 NEWS, whilst raising much needed funds for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand
